Corrections policy
A useful guide must be open to correction. Decision Shelf’s standard is to correct supported errors, explain material changes and keep uncertainty visible. Reports are leads to investigate, not proof on their own.

Report an issue
Email corrections@decisionshelf.com. Include the page address, the statement in question and evidence that helps establish what needs changing. The link opens your email app; nothing is sent until you send the message.
What makes a report useful
- The Decision Shelf page URL and section or sentence involved.
- A short explanation of the suspected error or missing context.
- A primary source link, exact model or variant, relevant date, or a calculation that can be checked.
- Whether the issue changes a fit result, buying implication, disclosure or other important conclusion.
Reports about broken links, accessibility problems and privacy concerns are welcome too. You do not need a public profile. Avoid sending private order records, payment details, passwords or unnecessary personal information.
How a report should be assessed
The relevant statement is checked against its source, the exact product or scenario and any conflicting evidence. A report may lead to a factual correction, clearer wording, a new limitation, removal of an unsupported conclusion, or no change when the existing statement is supported.
Potentially harmful guidance and errors that materially change a decision take priority over cosmetic issues. Uncertainty should be stated while evidence is incomplete; a disputed claim should not be repeated as an established fact. For an immediate product hazard, stop relying on the guide and consult the manufacturer or appropriate safety authority.
How changes should appear
For a material factual correction, the affected guide should include a dated correction note explaining what was wrong, what changed and whether the conclusion changed. A substantive update should carry an accurate updated date.
Routine spelling, formatting and broken-link repairs may be made without a separate note. New evidence or a changed product specification is an update; it is not automatically proof that the earlier account was wrong. Unsupported material may be removed or replaced with an explanation when retaining it would mislead readers.
Privacy and response expectations
Our policy is to keep your identity and private correspondence out of public correction notes unless you authorize attribution or disclosure is legally required. See how email information is handled.
Sending a report does not guarantee a change, publication or individual reply. There is no guaranteed response time. This address is for editorial and privacy issues, not order support or emergencies; retailers handle purchases and returns.
